Check scams faster
No need to pick a type or type anything. Here are four quick ways to check.
1. Paste & check
Copy the link, message, number or email, open the site and tap Paste & check. We work out what it is and check it straight away.
2. Add to your home screen
Android (Chrome): tap the ⋮ menu, then Add to Home screen or Install app.
iPhone (Safari): tap the Share button, then Add to Home Screen.
On Android, long-press the new icon and choose Paste & check for an instant check.
3. Share straight from WhatsApp or SMS
After adding to your home screen on Android, long-press a message in WhatsApp or SMS, tap Share and pick Can It Scam. The check starts on its own.
iPhones don't allow this yet, so use the shortcut below instead.
4. iPhone shortcut
Open the Shortcuts app and create a new shortcut with two actions:
- Get Clipboard
- Open URL:

Turn on Show in Share Sheet too. Any link you open as canitscam.com/?q=your text is checked instantly.
